1 Year Anniversary Giveaway: Fully-fucking-stocked makeup kit (15 pieces)

I've been fucking around here for a year now, so I'm celebrating by giving you a present. Well, one of you. I put together a makeup kit that has almost everything you need to do your face and claws. I tried to include an assortment of basics and neutrals that would suit just about anyone  - and for that reason I didn't include anything skin-colored, because I don't know what shade you are, mysterious future giveaway winner. Okay, so maybe the self-tanner isn't for everyone, but whatever. To make up for the lack of skin shit, I included an assortment of nail and lip products.

And yes, as you might expect, this is not ridiculously overpriced stuff. This is not your chance to finally get your hands on some Chanel, I'm afraid. I don't have any Chanel myself, so why would I give it to you? But this is some good, solid, affordable makeup from some of my favorite brands (Avon, Milani, ULTA, etc.), and it's probably better than Chanel, anyway.

Here's what you get:
  • Color Club nail polish in Almost Famous
  • Spoiled nail polish in Cougar Attack
  • Mini ULTA nail polish in Oh!
  • Milani nail polish in Pink and Proper
  • Milani Crystal Gloss in Fruit Punch
  • Model Co. Illusion Nude lip liner
  • Brazen Organic Mineral loose eye shadow in Birthday Suit
  • Avon Glazewear Sparkle lip gloss in Rave
  • Comodynes self-tanning towelette
  • Revlon Custom Eyes mascara in Blackest Black
  • ULTA Kohl eyeliner in Black
  • Set of 3 ULTA makeup brushes
  • ULTA blush in Flush
  • ULTA lipstick in Perfect Nude
  • Packed up in a cute makeup bag from Ipsy (not pictured)
Google them if you want more information. The two that are the most exciting for me are the Spoiled nail polish and the Avon lip gloss. I think you will like them. Spoiled Cougar Attack seems to be an exact dupe for the new, limited edition MAC polish, Tropical.

And Avon's Rave is pretty much my favorite shimmery lip gloss ever, but impossible to photograph in all its glory. You can see my swatches here, but you're going to have to get your hands on it to really understand.

The giveaway is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada only. I can't ship nail polish outside of the U.S., so if a Canadian wins, I'll send you everything except the nail polish, and I'll award the nail polish to an American runner-up. The winner will be announced on my blog June 13. I'll contact the winner by email, and if she/he doesn't respond within 5 days, I will choose a new winner.

Enter here and good luck! (Make sure if you choose the commenting option, you don't do so as "Anonymous", or I won't be able to match your comment up to your entry if you win!)

(Note: This is the exciting thing I warned you about yesterday, in case you haven't caught on.)

  2. Thanks for the great giveaway! I'm a sucker for Cover Girl and have been using it for years. Am slowly branching out from drugstore brands with nail polish, but like Cover Girl makeup so will probably stick with that for awhile. And no, I haven't even named my car so why would I name my breasts? Have you? >:)

    1. Covergirl pressed powder and mascaras are my favorite, but some other things they make disappoint me (eyeshadow, for one). I'm not really a namer of inanimate objects, but I like to hear others.

  3. Nice! What is it with nail polishes that make it such a pain in the ass to ship internationally?! Sleek MakeUp has a set of really cute polishes I had been eyeing until I saw the notice that they couldn't ship it to the US due to various restrictions.

    1. Same goes for perfume with alcohol in it. Maybe they worry it will explode? No idea, really!

  4. Yay, giveaway! I'm 90% sure I already have the ULTA brushes, blush, lipstick, and nailpolish though - aren't they the ones from ulta's recent "buy $20 worth of ulta brand stuff and get a free makeup pouch + eyeshadow and liner" thing? And, for the entry - I used to be a makeup snob and only bought things from Sephora (because I loved wasting money) but since I was unemployed for a year and broke I realized how much cheaper it is to just get drugstore dupes. Plus, more makeup = more fun shit to experiment with!

    1. Yep, they have those bags for sale at my local ULTA now. Turned out I had some of the products already, so I thought I would give them away (I have a full size Oh! nail polish, for example). That's what happens when you gamble on a surprise bag. And yes, I would definitely get 3 cheap products over one expensive one, if the quality is similar.

  17. My favorite cheap makeup brand would be Sinful colors and Pure ice for nail polish. I don't wear makeup much but I do wear some cover girl mascara from time to time. My cats name is Buddy and hes a asshole of a cat, I swear. I also have a baby bearded dragon but it has no name yet as it is too small to tell the sex. I have no name for my tits and what I am wearing on my face right now is a smile because this giveaway kicks ass =D

  23. First of all, can I just say I love the name of your blog? I love your tongue and cheek, no-nonsense approach to everything blogging and beauty. It makes me laugh how phrase things -- helps us all lighten up a little.

I have not named my breasts, but my email is annalwang at gmail dot com. So if you read that pretty fast it comes out real nasty. My parents did not think very hard when they gave me a middle name that begins with L. It's Laura actually.

But aside from that, my favorite beauty product that is CHEAP A$$ is Wet n Wild eyeliner for 69 CENTS on sale at Walgreens. It's colorful and fun, smears slightly but primer helps alot! GO UDPP<-- the only thing worth splurging on in life. Other than a good mattress.

    1. Ha! Thanks for that. I'm a fan of UD Primer Potion too - and actually I'm thinking of doing a review of my shitty Ikea mattress soon to warn people off from buying it.

  26. Hi! My name is Martina W. My fave cheap makeup brand is Wet N Wild. Their tinted moisturizer is so perf for me, even over ELF brand tinted moisturizer. I also love their nail polishes because they are fast drying and don't stink like some polishes do.

  27. I like online shopping better because I buy less. :-) I'm less apt to buy clothes I can't try on or makeup I can't test, you know?

    1. Huh, I don't know if that's the case for me. I think I impulse buy online more than when I'm out, because it's so easy to do. And it's a pain to return things, though I've got better at doing that lately.
