New Post on Pyxis & Spatula: Ancient Eyebrow Evolution

I finally managed to write another post on my ancient beauty blog, this time on eyebrow trends in ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome. They went through periods of more or less grooming and of bolder and subtler brows just like we do today. The post is mostly details of works of art, so you can see which ancient brow style would have suited you best!

Anyway, here is the latest post on my new blog about beauty in the ancient world, in which I think about whether or not it's actually possible for us to judge how beautiful Cleopatra really was.

(I won't advertise every new Pyxis & Spatula post here--I'll just do it until I get into a better posting rhythm.)

Introducing Pyxis & Spatula!

Just a quick note to let you know that I've started my new blog about ancient beauty, which is called Pyxis & Spatula. I got some great suggestions for titles, and obviously I ended up not using them, but they were really helpful at getting me thinking, so thank you! (Who knows, I might get sick of the name and change it eventually. Wouldn't be the first time.)

Why did I start a new blog when I sometimes struggle to update this one on a regular basis? That's a good question. But I'm excited about it anyway, and I don't think it will actually cut into my blogging time here.
