Someone should make a skin care dupes site

My vision is that I copy and paste the ingredients of this $80 moisturizer I got a sample of, and it tells me what other products that are not horrifyingly expensive have similar ingredients.

Someone get on that please!

  1. I want that too. Though if it's the type of thing to be sold at a drugstore you can probably find it with a big ol' CVS or Walgreens label slapped on the front.

    1. No, it's too fancy. Literally $80. It has lots of good ingredients that I know have good research behind them, but it would be nice to figure out what has the closest combination of all of them. I might just try googling the whole ingredients list.

  2. When I finish my master's thesis and finally get to graduate, the next thing I want to do is learn about SQL databases. This is a brilliant idea, and I think I'll make it my first project! This is definitely something that needs to exist.

    1. That's a good idea! Though I can find something with similar ingredients myself. It would be really cool to find what has closest to all the same ingredients, in the same order, etc. But maybe they have their own database like that!
