NOT AGAIN! My favorite sunscreen has been discontinued

A few years ago, my favorite Paula's Choice sunscreen was discontinued, but then I miraculously found a dupe from Kinesys (reviewed here). Now it appears that Kinesys has disappeared entirely! Almost all of their products are out of stock at every retailer. I like the Biore sunscreen I've been using (reviewed here), but I was thinking about going back to Kinesys when I finished it, and now I don't have that option. So I have to decide if I want replace this bottle of Biore with another one, or gamble with something new.

Anyone know a dupe for the Kinesys Alcohol-Free Spray? Or do you want to suggest something else--or encourage me to keep using the same Biore sunscreen? Help.

  1. I really like the Goodal Mild Protect Watery Sun Cream. It's 30 SPF PA++, doesnt feel sticky or oily and doesn't break me out. Don't know if it's a dupe to your old sunscreen, but it's HG for me. I have oily, dehydrated, sensitive skin.

  2. Nooo! This is my favorite sunscreen both for my upper body (easy to apply to my center back) and squirmy preschooler, but it's not worth the $30+ they're asking on Amazon. I have no backup plan, but will bookmark this post in case anybody else does...

    1. It's so good! There's got to be something else like it out there, right? But I don't know how to find it.

  3. Nooooooooooo this is terrible news! I also have been testing other things (not anything I actively sought out, mostly just GWPs or things from subscription boxes) and was planning to go back to good ol' Kinesys as soon as I finished my randoms!

    1. Ugh, we're in the same boat. I can't even find any info about the company--but all of the sudden all of their products are out of stock everywhere online, and I never did see it in an actual store.

    2. I can't believe this! The spray (not from a can), the effectiveness and gluten free! I'm definitely anxious about finding such an amazingly good and easy product for my kids before our trip to South Africa in almost 5 weeks!

  6. This is a favourite in our house due to sensitive skin and sensitivities to fragrances. Their website has recent updates! I can't find it anywhere in stores anymore, so online might be it.

  8. Yup, Kinesys is back up and selling stored stock, hasn't done a new production yet though. I just ordered 2 bottles, and managed to get a human to respond to a question on their website.

  10. I was just at MEC trying to find it. Looks like BU is now making it. I have used Kinsey's on my kids since they were little. It's the only thing they don't react to. I hope it's the same. Not in stock yet at the MEC store though. Going to order online.

  11. I contacted Kinesys, and they directed me to kinesysactive.com (I just ordered 5 bottles). They also told me the company was just sold and they are working on getting the products back on the shelves.
