Quick Review: The Best Antiperspirant/Deodorant (Mitchum For Women Advanced Control in Pure Fresh)

The Best Antiperspirant/Deodorant: Mitchum For Women Advanced Control in Pure Fresh)

There's something about my body chemistry that makes 90% of scented deodorants/antiperspirants start to smell nasty after a couple of hours of sweating. Not B.O. nasty, just a grosser version of their initial scent. Is it just me? I used to really like the original-scent Dove, but then they lowered the percentage of Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex Gly (the active antiperspirant ingredient) from something like 18% to 14%, and it doesn't do shit for me now. So I sweat more, and the smell gets grosser.

But I found what I think is the best antiperspirant, and it's Mitchum For Women Advanced Control Antiperspirant and Deodorant Invisible Solid in Pure Fresh. Here's why I like it:
  1. It's lightly scented, but it's subtle and doesn't start smelling bad during the course of the day (they also make a powder-scented version, but barf).
  2. It has 20% Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex Gly, so it seriously fucking works.
  3. It's cheap (2.7 oz. for about $4).
  4. It's well-known, I think, that women's deodorant is a racket. It's usually a lower strength and a smaller package for more money. It's fucked up, basically. With this Mitchum stuff the size of the product, the percentage of active ingredient, and the price are exactly the same for the men's and women's versions. I'd say that deserves some respect, except that's just how it always fucking should be. So no cookie for Mitchum, but bags of shit for all the other deodorant companies.
When I use this shit, I really don't think about my armpits at all, for any reason, all day, and that's ideal. The stick I have has lasted me almost a year now using it about 5 days a week (I use the shitty Dove one that I bought over a year ago on days when I don't care as much just so it's not a total waste).

Also, I know some people think antiperspirant isn't healthy for one reason or another. I am not one of those people. Sorry, not sorry. Let's all just put what we want on/in our own bodies, okay?

  1. Gender pricing is really fucking annoying. My personal peeve is women's razors. We get something that is plastic, and guaranteed to break, for almost twice the cost of men's razors.

    1. Yeah, that's another one! Though I love my Intuition, so I'm not really going for cheap and basic there.
