Your Claws: Beautifully cheap greens from NYX

If you want to get with the Pantone Color of the Year thing (Emerald), here are a couple of fucking gorgeous options. They're NYX Girls Emerald Forest (left), which is a glass-fleck, shimmery green that shifts to gold. It's similar to Zoya Ivanka or Zoya Apple, but I don't own those, so I can't tell you which one it's a dupe for. Or try NYX Girls Mermaid Green (right), which is an unusual green that's slightly on the blue side, but not teal.

If you prefer something on the teal side, I recommend NYX Girls Indigo Blue. It's a lovely, deep teal jelly. I'm a huge fan.
The best part is that these polishes are only $2 each on Cherry Culture. They are great quality, and there are approximately a million colors (144 to be exact). Go get 'em.

Have you tried any of these? What should I get next?

  1. Oooh, I do love me some jellies! How well do these wear? As tempting as the price is, I don't think I can deal with any more polishes that barely make it through the day without chipping.

    1. I'm on my fourth day of wear, and I have minor chips on the corners of five nails. They are not really noticeable. Not the kind of thing that is bugging me enough that I need to take it off immediately. Tonight I might put some kind of glitter on top to make it last a bit longer.

I didn't have any chips for the first 2-3 days. I used Orly Bonder basecoat and Butter London's Hardwear P.D. Quick Topcoat. I have the kind of nails where polish almost always chips the by the second day, no matter what type/brand it is, so this is good for me. I can't promise anything, since I think a lot depends on your own nails, but this has been working as good or better than most polishes I own. Hope that helps!
