Obviously I've been slacking in the blogging department. I miss it! The best I've been able to do for the last couple of months is to take a quick photo of something with my phone in the morning on the way out the door, and then write up a paragraph review of it on the bus on the way to work. Instagram is the most obvious and convenient medium for posts of that sort. I know, however, that not everyone uses Instagram, and I don't think you should feel like you have to. So in case these things are of any interest at all to non-Instagram users, I though I would post a little link roundup. (If you follow me on Tumblr, you've probably already seen these, too.) You can view the photos and reviews on the web (i.e. you don't need the app), and if you have any questions - since they are very bare bones - you can ask here.
Bonus: You can try to figure out how long I go between changing my bedding. (Don't judge too harshly - sometimes I take several photos the same morning when I have a few minutes to spare and then post them one at a time over the following days or weeks.) You can also play Spot the Cat! Puzzles and brain teasers for everyone!

ReplyDeleteCetaphil Lotion - I've been curios about this one for a while. I'm currently using Liz Earle cleanser with very similar results, and I love it. but Cetaphil is cheaper and more accessible, so I really want to try it and see if it works for me. (side note: They're Real mascara is my ultimate test for a make up remover, lol)
Met the Matt(e) pallet - Luck of lighter shades is part of the reason why didn't buy this pallet. I feel that the whole purpose of any pallet is being able to create a look using this one item (and a brush).
I like the idea of mixing concealer with moisturizer. I have persistent dark circles, and most of concealers with good coverage tend to look cakey on me.
I haven't tried using the Cetaphil all over my face as a sort of cleanser, but now that you mention it, I bet it might work similarly to the Liz Earle (I have a sample of that from Birchbox). Let me know if you end up trying it out (and I will, if I do)!
DeleteI have a feeling the reason this particular moisturizer works so well with the concealer is that it's really thick. I guess I should try another one to compare. It seems to soften it up without thinning it too much. I'm really happy with the results.
I almost bought Cetaphil Lotion today, just out of sheer curiosity. But then I saw the price on that thing, lol. For some reason I thought it was like $7, but my local pharmacy had for $11.49. So the experiment got delayed.
DeleteIt's not the cheapest, I guess, but it last forever, at least if you're not using it as body lotion. I had the bigger bottle last time, but it lasted so long that I started not to trust it.
